I appreciate the technical skill and dedication of these kids of players, but the music just doesn't touch me or inspire me. It sometimes feels as though people who play like this have traded soul and personality in their music for speed and technique.

I can do the main line just fine, but the bit that starts on C is (for some reason) really tough. John Deacon really killed it with the syncopation on this track.

That Harley Benton just sounds so good, right up my alley....especially for that price. The Cort had a unique sound....not a fan, but when you ran it with that green distortion, was a real good tone.

Nate, I am sure the basses they send you are probably great. But, the QC on the Dimension line for the rest of us, in my recent experience, is quite bad. Badly carved nut, cheap bridge hardware, cheap tuners, high frets all over the neck and why would it have all black hardware and 1 silver switch? To everyone out there thinking about this bass, ymmv. But definitely check on the shop return policy before you buy one of these. For a $2k+ bass, this is just not cool and is certainly not up to what the Spector name would typically imply.

I thought they all had special characteristics, however in real life bringing one bass to studio sessions the MUSICMAN would be more inclined to do it all from Motown to Metallica, of course that LeFay could get in there but that Warwick sounds tinggy and thin dingwall is cool too but gets overshadowed by the legendary MUSICMAN
